- Agents must be registered with a government-approved redress scheme (e.g., The Property Ombudsman or Property Redress Scheme).
- We utilise automated detection software to flag suspicious listing data before it goes live.
- Accounts displaying unusual activity are immediately suspended pending manual review by our security team.
Protecting Yourself From Scams
While we work hard to keep scammers off our platform, fraudsters continuously evolve their tactics. Always remain vigilant during your property search.
Red flags to watch out for:
- The "Too Good to Be True" Price: If a property is significantly cheaper than similar homes in the area, be cautious.
- Demanding Upfront Transfers: Never wire money (via Western Union, MoneyGram, or direct bank transfer) to secure a viewing.
- The "Absent Landlord": Scammers often claim they are out of the country and will post you the keys once a deposit is paid.
- Communication Off-Platform: Be wary of agents who immediately insist on moving communication to personal WhatsApp numbers or private emails.
Report Suspicious Activity
